About This Privacy Policy
BieShadi.com ("BieShadi", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website, mobile-accessible services, communication tools, and related features available through https://bieshadi.com (collectively, the "Platform").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal data when you use the Platform. It applies to account holders, individuals whose matrimonial profiles appear on the Platform, relatives or representatives who manage profiles, visitors, and persons who contact us.
We process personal data subject to the applicable laws of Bangladesh, including the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026, the National Data Management Act, 2026, the Cyber Security Act, 2026, the Consumers' Right Protection Act, 2009, and other applicable laws and regulations, as amended or replaced from time to time.
For purposes of applicable data protection law, BieShadi acts as the data fiduciary for personal data where we determine the purposes and means of processing.
BieShadi Is Not a Verification Service
Profile information is supplied by users, profile subjects, relatives, or representatives. BieShadi does not independently verify or guarantee identity, age, marital status, legal eligibility to marry, religion, education, occupation, income, address, family background, health, criminal history, photographs, documents, or any other information. Account approval, profile moderation, profile completion, payment, subscription, email confirmation, phone confirmation, or access to a contact method does not mean that a person or profile has been verified or endorsed by BieShadi.
Any email or phone confirmation, if offered, only indicates that the user had access to that email address or phone number at the relevant time. It does not establish the user's legal identity, ownership of the number, age, marital status, background, intentions, or trustworthiness.
You must conduct your own checks before relying on profile information or interacting offline. Our handling of personal data does not create a duty to investigate users or guarantee the truth of user-submitted information.
Profiles Created or Managed by Relatives
A representative who provides personal data about a Profile Subject confirms that:
BieShadi may allow an adult parent, sibling, guardian, family member, or other representative to create or manage a matrimonial profile for another adult (the "Profile Subject").
- the Profile Subject is an adult and has reached the minimum lawful marriage age applicable to them;
- the representative has informed the Profile Subject about the profile and obtained the Profile Subject's express permission to create or manage it;
- the representative is authorised to provide the Profile Subject's personal data, preferences, and photographs;
- the representative will accurately state their relationship to the Profile Subject and will not impersonate the Profile Subject; and
- the representative will promptly update, restrict, or delete the profile if the Profile Subject withdraws permission.
BieShadi does not independently verify the representative's relationship, authority, or consent. A Profile Subject may contact us to request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of a profile concerning them. We may take reasonable steps to confirm that the request is genuine before acting on it.

Messages or contact requests sent through the Platform, where the Platform provides messaging features.
Support requests, reports, complaints, blocked-user information, moderation records, and evidence voluntarily submitted in connection with a safety or policy concern.

Payment and Subscription Data
Subscription plan, purchase amount, payment status, transaction identifier, invoice information, and payment history.

Information We Do Not Need for Routine Verification
BieShadi does not require users to publicly upload a National Identity Card, passport, birth certificate, police clearance, bank statement, medical record, or similar document for routine profile verification. Do not upload such documents to a public profile or send them to unfamiliar users. If you voluntarily share such documents with another user, you do so at your own risk.
If you send a government-issued document to BieShadi solely to resolve an account ownership, safety, fraud, or legal request, we will use it only for that limited purpose and retain it only as reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law. Receiving such document does not mean that BieShadi has verified the person's complete identity or background.
How We Collect Personal Data
- Directly from you when you register, build or manage a profile, communicate, subscribe, pay, report an issue, or contact support.
- From a relative or representative who is authorised to create or manage a profile for a Profile Subject.
- Automatically through cookies, server logs, security tools, analytics, and similar technologies when you use the Platform.
- From service providers such as hosting, payment, communications, fraud prevention, or customer-support providers.
- From public authorities or other persons where permitted or required by law, including in connection with legal requests, fraud, abuse, or safety concerns.
Consent and Lawful Grounds for Processing
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis under applicable law. Depending on the context, the basis may include:
Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Some features may no longer be available where the relevant data is necessary to provide them.
- your consent, including explicit consent for sensitive personal data that you voluntarily place in a matrimonial profile;
- performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract, including creating an account, displaying a profile, providing search or communication features, and processing subscriptions;
- compliance with a legal obligation, court order, regulatory requirement, or lawful government request;
- protection of vital interests or safety in urgent circumstances; or
- our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, improving, and preventing misuse of the Platform, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and applicable law.
How We Use Personal Data
Search, filters, ranking, or profile recommendations are only tools to help users discover profiles. They do not constitute verification, professional advice, compatibility assessment, endorsement, or a guarantee of marriage or relationship success.
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts and matrimonial profiles.
- Display profile information according to the Platform's visibility settings and facilitate matrimonial introductions and communication.
- Provide search, filters, recommendations, contact features, subscriptions, and customer support.
- Process payments, maintain transaction records, prevent payment fraud, and manage subscriptions.
- Send service communications such as account notices, security alerts, contact requests, subscription information, policy updates, and support responses.
- Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fake profiles, impersonation, scams, harassment, illegal conduct, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Analyse usage in aggregated or de-identified form to improve performance, usability, matching tools, safety, and service quality.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with applicable law.
Profile Visibility and Sharing with Other Users
A matrimonial service necessarily involves displaying selected profile information to other users. Depending on Platform features and your settings, profile information may be visible to registered users, subscribers, users who meet particular criteria, or visitors.
Before publishing profile data, review what will be displayed. Avoid posting precise home addresses, National Identity Card numbers, passport details, bank information, passwords, one-time passwords, private medical records, or other unnecessary confidential information.
Other users may copy, screenshot, save, or share information that you make visible to them. Although such conduct may violate our Terms of Service, BieShadi cannot guarantee that other users will not misuse information they can access. Use privacy controls and share additional information cautiously.
When We Share Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
BieShadi is not responsible for information that you voluntarily disclose directly to another user outside the Platform, including through phone, email, messaging applications, social media, or in-person meetings.
- With other users, according to profile visibility settings and the ordinary operation of matrimonial introduction features.
- With hosting, cloud, analytics, communications, payment, security, moderation, customer-support, and professional service providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
- With courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other persons where disclosure is required or permitted by law, necessary to respond to a lawful request, or reasonably necessary to protect users, BieShadi, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, financing, reorganisation, acquisition, sale of assets, or transfer of the Platform, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
- With your direction or consent.
Data Storage and Cross-Border Processing
The Platform and its service providers may store or process personal data in Bangladesh or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where personal data is transferred or processed outside Bangladesh, we will take measures required by applicable law, which may include contractual safeguards, security controls, consent, transfer assessments, local copies of legally restricted data, or other approved mechanisms.
No statement in this Policy guarantees that every category of data is stored in a particular country. Our actual hosting and processing arrangements may change as our infrastructure and service providers change, subject to applicable law.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Platform, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet accounting or tax requirements, and comply with law.
Account and profile data is generally retained while the account or profile remains active and for a reasonable period after closure or deletion to complete the request, prevent fraud, and maintain backups.
Transaction and invoice records may be retained for the period required by accounting, tax, financial, or consumer-protection law.
Reports, moderation records, and security logs may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent repeated abuse, investigate incidents, protect users, or establish or defend legal claims.
Backup copies may remain for a limited period until overwritten through normal backup cycles.
When retention is no longer necessary, we will delete, anonymise, or securely dispose of the relevant data, subject to technical limitations and legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Measures may include access controls, secure transmission, logging, backups, vulnerability management, and restrictions on staff or service-provider access.
No website, storage system, transmission, or security measure is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password, keeping login credentials and one-time passwords confidential, protecting your devices, and notifying us promptly of suspected account misuse.
Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification of the request, you may have the right to:
You may update many profile details through your account. You may request account or profile deletion through account settings, if available, or by emailing [email protected]. We may need information reasonably necessary to confirm control of the relevant account or that the request concerns you.
Some requests may be limited or refused where permitted by law, including where retention is necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention, safety, disputes, or the rights of others.
- request information about whether and how we process your personal data;
- access or obtain a copy of personal data concerning you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion or erasure where legally available;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- request portability where required and technically applicable; and
- submit a complaint to BieShadi or the competent authority.
Service and Marketing Communications
We may send service-related messages necessary to operate your account, including security alerts, contact requests, profile notices, subscription information, legal updates, and support communications. You may not be able to opt out of essential service messages while your account remains active.
Where permitted by law, we may send promotional communications. You may unsubscribe using the method provided in the communication or by adjusting available account settings. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential service messages.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, maintain sessions, protect accounts, measure performance, understand usage, and improve features.
You can control some cookies through browser or device settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login, security, payment, preference, or other Platform functions from working correctly. Where required, we will provide additional cookie choices or notices.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to or integrate with payment providers, messaging services, social networks, maps, analytics tools, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own terms and policies. BieShadi is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or content of third-party services.
Children and Underage Profiles
The Platform is not intended for minors or for creating matrimonial profiles for persons who have not reached the minimum lawful marriage age applicable to them. Account holders must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to this Policy and the Terms of Service.
Do not create a matrimonial profile for a child or upload a child's personal data for matrimonial purposes. If we reasonably believe that a prohibited underage profile exists, we may restrict or delete it and preserve relevant records where required for safety or legal compliance.
Personal Data Breaches
If a personal data breach occurs, we will investigate and take reasonable remedial steps. We will notify affected persons and the competent authority where and within the timeframe required by applicable law. Notices may describe the nature of the incident, categories of data involved, likely risks, and recommended protective steps, where appropriate.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, security, business practices, or Platform features. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Where required or where changes materially affect your rights, we may provide additional notice by email, account notification, or another reasonable method.
Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Policy means that you acknowledge the updated Policy, but we will seek consent where applicable law requires new consent.
